Westchester Magazine reports on an interesting development: Upscale to-go meals delivered to you when you step off the train after a tough day in the city. Dinner in Hand is the company, and the food is prepared in a commercial kitchen in New Rochelle. Order by 10 p.m. the night before, and your chicken stuffed with wild mushrooms and organic baby spinach, for one, is waiting for you when you hit the platform.

The service is available in New Rochelle, Larchmont, Mamaroneck, Scarsdale and Bronxville, with White Plains, Rye and Harrison to come.

It’d be nice if they added Hawthorne to the list.
