If you had “See Rick Springfield perform “Jessie’s Girl” on a Penn Station platform” on your bucket list, I sure hope you were there Wednesday, on the 1-9 platform at 34th Street, to see the former Dr. Noah Drake bang out the ’80s staple.
A Working Class Dog at heart, Springfield then boarded the 1 train and headed uptown, with more performances scheduled for other stations as he promoted a new album.
If the star’s appearance on the subway is any indication, success clearly has not spoiled Springfield yet.
