We’ve written extensively about the Yankeemobile of central Westchester, which sits itself in a prime parking space most days of the week at our station.
Well, this morning, not 30 feet from where the Yankeemobile resides on the border of Boardwalk and Park Place, its wee spawn–the Yankee Cycle–was chained up against the fence separating the lot from the tracks.
Apparently there used to be a Mets bike here in the heart of Yankee country, but the seat was busted and the handlebars were bent and the chain kept falling off.
And the bike had some really fine wheels, but the owner sold them before they could become free agents.
