JerseyJim Seeks September to Remember

September couldn’t come soon enough.

I’m glad to leave behind the heat waves and train delays of August. Bring on Autumn, and brisk city walking weather! My early August vacation is just a glimmer in my mind, and only lingers now in the form of credit card bills.

New Jersey transit has had some irksome delays and train breakdowns in the last few weeks – too many and too depressing to recount the particulars. I’ve almost forgotten the most flagrant foul last Tuesday morning, as catenary wires lost power for most of New Jersey Transit trains. Commuters were deposited in Hoboken, and packed like lemmings into shiny metal boxes known as The PATH.

As the Earl-icane dukes it out with the east coast this weekend, I’m looking forward to the rain, and staying off the rails.
