Lock Up Your Minivans

Sources tell me a car parked across from Hawthorne’s station was stolen Friday. Apparently someone parked their older-model Honda Odyssey over at the former temple to red sauce mediocrity called Bel Paese for a day trip to the city, then arrived home one minivan lighter.

Middle-Westchester thieves can strike in broad daylight, as they did Friday, and a source says they’re targeting older model cars. Like the old Wendy’s commercial says, “parts is parts.”

Speaking of Bel Paese, is something going into that space? The big real estate broker sign is no longer on the facade. Either the wind blew it off or the broker found a tenant. A family friendly Irish pub?

One can dream.
