Hawthorne Bike Rack Turns 2

How did I miss this milestone?

On July 13, 2007 the Hawthorne bike rack was installed after weeks of hectoring phone calls from me to the Mt. Pleasant Town Hall.

This past July 13, Town Supervisor Robert Meehan presided over an anniversary celebration that was attended by cycling luminaries such as Lance Armstrong, Pee Wee Herman, the boy from E.T., Auntie Em from Wizard of Oz, and the ghost of John-John Kennedy.
