The old folkie ditty may have said, “this train don’t carry no gamblers,” but this train is apparently full of them. On Feb. 6, New Jersey Transit cars will be tricked out like a Westchester-bound drag queen to haul gamblers down to Atlantic City.
NJ Transit cars will be outfitted with leather seats, a private lounge, and food and beverage kiosks. First-class passengers will receive food and beverage service.
Coach will run you $50 each way, and first-class is $75. The trip takes two hours.
As the Journal News gamely points out, Amtrak’s “Gamblers Express” failed to catch on before.
