We’d previously reported on careerbuilder.com’s dramatic enveloping of the Grand Central staircase leading to the subways with its new “Be Gruntled” ad campaign.

The campaign took another step in Grand Central today. I passed two guys in “Be Gruntled” t-shirts, large bags of “Be Gruntled” schwag at their feet, chatting near the stairs under Michael Jordan’s. Bearded and grubby, they’d looked scruffy at best and homeless at worst–like, the careerbuilder.com project manager trolled the streets or shelters looking for a few good men to make an honest 50 bucks.

It just struck me as funny–a campaign looking to entice white-collar commuters to different six-figure jobs that’s being executed by what look like scraggly homeless guys.

For what it’s worth, the guys seemed fairly gruntled as they chatted away.
