It’s a special day here at Trainjotting. For the first time in our brief history, we’ve actually received interest from a marketing firm, and on the heels of that interest, a check!!!

If Trainjotting were a pizzeria, we’d tape the check to the wall and watch it get covered with splotches of grease over the next 20 years.

But as it’s a dotcom, we’ll simply cash the check.

What does the windfall mean for Trainjotting? Well, probably Starbucks gift cards for the likes of Engine Bob and Straphanger Joe. And it means our hourly wage just climbed from zero to about 62 cents an hour–about what the Downtown Resident pays for freelance.

So thank you to our dear advertisers, among them the fine folks at ParkRideFlyUSA.com, PetsBest.com and LearningHaven.com (other sites advertise smokes and booze! we advertise learning!), and a really nice rep named Ava. Their ads should be up and running tomorrow.
