Two Minutes of Ecstasy

No, not that.

There’s been a recent development that commuters have truly taken to heart. And I think it happens every year.

When I leave my office at a normal-ish time these days, the sun is actually out. I get to feel the sun on my face for a whole two minutes as I walk the two blocks to the subway. It’s a reminder that all is right with the world…or at least will eventually be right, once the single-digits temperatures rise.

And it gets better; NASA sources tell me I might actually get to see that same sun after I exit the train in the coming weeks, if only for a fleeting second.

I say, bring it on.
