My Beloved 1 3/4-Seater
Posted by TJ under Emergency Brake, Uncategorized
I scored the elusive Conductors-Only…or Not??…truncated two-seater again today. The first one I tried had the seat locked in an upright position, which I guess means it was designated for official conductor business. But I came upon one in the next car, and it was all mine.
Two things I neglected to mention yesterday: Besides the dual exposures and nary a commuter in sight, there’s also a private heater (handy on days when the Real-Feel is around 5 degrees), it’s got its own coat hook, and even its own emergency brake strap. Ya know, just in case.
If Metro North had a business class (if only!), this would be it.
